Entry #5: How to Cold-Call a Voicemail Message

Any B2B salesperson who spends any time on the phone has already realized that 90% of sales dials end up in voice mail.  As a result, talented, knowledgeable salespeople find themselves spending 90% of their effort trying to speak with decision makers, but end up actually speaking with their machines.

That used to just be an unwritten rule of Sales—but not any more.

I say: Embrace voice mail, don’t fight it!  We started beep! to help salespeople save time while increasing their effectiveness.

We start by recording a voice mail with the salesperson. Our agents then call everyone on the call list provided to us, one at a time. We speak and work with executive assistants, receptionists, and dial-by-name directories to get that pre-recorded voice mail message to each target’s mailbox. We’re able to leave hundreds or thousands of voice mails for each salesperson, so it’s perfect for cold calling, event invitations, campaign follow-up, or any other high-volume calling effort. We also pair each voice mail with a one-to-one e-mail to significantly increase response.

As a result, sales teams are left to do what they do best… speak with those who are interested in your offerings. And company leadership is left with improved morale, ROI, and sales results.
