The Winner of the December 2012 Supplier Spotlight is…

…and some months you stay home and eat too much.

In this month’s contest, Shopping Days & myriad celebrations aside, we still managed over 800 page views.  In the spirit of the Season, I’m grateful for your continued participation. Next year brings a shift in my contract as I’ll no longer be running Supplier Connection’s webinars. But I’ll still run this contest and function as your SBE Advocate.  Any issues you’d like to bring to my attention?  You can connect with me in many ways: email –, Twitter – @dnagallo, or LinkedIn – The Supplier-Connection Discussion Group.

Again, thank you all for entering, reading & voting.

This month’s winning entry is… “See the Ball, Be the Ball” from Kenneth Stewart, the President of Integrated Security Consultants, Inc.  As you can see below, it won a commanding 76% of the vote, and I think it won because it taps into a universal truth: The mind moves the body to action.  To accomplish what we want, the first thing we’ve got to do is show up dressed for the job.  Nobody gets a paycheck for thinking about trying, right?  And, coming from a small business success story, I think it goes further than just simple bumper-sticker advice.  You can read the entry right here.

Congratulations also to the registered SBEs who, along with Integrated Security Consultants Inc., entered the December contest:  Bowman Tool & Machining Inc., Benefits Connection LLC, 82 South Inc., and YTT Design Solutions.

This contest is sponsored by Supplier-Connection, an initiative where 18 large companies have committed to connect U.S.-based SBEs to their supply chains. Registration is open to all U.S. Small Business Enterprises.
