The Winner of October 2012’s Supplier Spotlight is…

I’m writing from a friend’s restaurant in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy as it was the only place I could find with power & internet service. All SBEs who found themselves in the eye of the storm are in our thoughts and prayers.  If you’ve got pictures showing what Sandy has done to your business send them to me & I’ll post them on a special blog post on The SBE Lifer.

After September’s lackluster 5-votes on 600 page visit contest, October saw the SPOTLIGHT return to respectability with over 900 site page visits and 141 votes. Thank you all for visiting, reading and voting.

Here’s a “first” for a month full of “firsts”… An entry from the software application development sector makes it to the winners circle—and it’s about Operations not Sales! Don’t Commit to Unrealistic Deadlines submitted by Girish Seshagiri, CEO of Advanced Information Services Inc. was the clear winner with 57% of the vote in what came down to a race between two entries.  I loved this entry because although it focuses on one company’s transition to integrate realistic project planning, it applies to any SBE delivering a custom solution.  And with this victory, we christen another first-time entry as the winner.
