December 2011: Vote NOW for The Supplier Spotlight Contest!

For some reason, reading December’s submissions and the great business value they represent started me thinking about the road we traveled in 2011. As 2011 comes screaming to its inevitable conclusion, I’m reminded of all the Supplier-Connection initiative has achieved this year…

  • The Beta of the Supplier-Connection portal only launched in mid-February, 2011! — last Friday we launched our fourth major upgrade.
  • We started the initiative looking for SBEs (Small Business Enterprises) covering commodities in 14 categories, we end the year with 20, and we’ll be adding more in 1Q12.
  • We kicked the year off with general interest from the business world, we end with over 1,300 registered users.
  • We started the year with 6 Member Partners, we end with TWELVE Partners!… AND a queue of another 12 companies with joining interest.

Additionally, by mid-2011 we also started developing valuable content to assist SBEs in improving their businesses and their personal business IQ. Launching The SBE Lifer blog & The Supplier Spotlight contest. Three highly attended, highly touted Webinars with 7 of the Member Partners. And a very high-value 2-part interview with Decision MAPping creator and founder, Rich Hodapp.

And the best is yet to come as 2012 sets up to be a big year for SBEs because these major companies have all pledged in writing to increase the dollar amount of contracts they award to SBEs…

Which brings me to the business at hand:  December’s  The Supplier Spotlight contest.

In September we had 424 people view and vote.

In October we had 647 people V&V.

And in November, 823 people viewed & voted!

And this month we may have some of the highest impact, most important ideas yet to improve your business.

I’d like to personally thank each of the companies that submitted an entry. Honor their effort by reading each submission. Afterwards, be sure to vote for the idea you think offers the most opportunity to benefit your business. Comments are welcomed. Debating the merits of these ideas is encouraged, especially the impact you think they can have on your business.

Submission #2: Global Financial Analytics: Four Tip$ to Combat a Cash Flow Crunch

Submission #3: Overture Promotions, Inc.: Using Goals & Contests to Drive Incremental Improvement

Look at these entries! Driving revenue growth… Managing cash flow… Driving improved performance…  A great case could be made for doing all three of these RIGHT NOW!  In fact, looking over all of the entries we’ve received to date, a case could be made for this being the most valuable SBE blog on the web!

As I keep mentioning, with each passing month the promotion gains more and more value to the winner.  Fortune 500 Member Partner Buyers on the portal continue to grow along with the number of Member Companies joining.  And SBE Supplier registrations grow each and every month. As you well know by now… The company with the most votes gets promoted on the Supplier-Connection web portal for the month of December.
